From 1958 to 1975 hundreds of merchant seamen, US Navy personnel, oceanographers and technical representatives served aboard survey ship USNS Michelson. Over 400 of them are listed in the Michelson crew roster. Many also spent time aboard Ocean Survey Program sister ships USNS Bowditch and USNS Dutton as well as USNS H. H. Hess, Michelson's successor.
